NOTIFICATION PROCESS 1st NOTICE -
Warning Letter sent home. -
10th absence from a full-year course -
5th absence from a half-year course 2nd NOTICE -
Letter sent home requiring a parent conference by telephone. -
15th absence from a full-year course -
8th absence from a half-year course 3rd NOTICE -
Letter sent home requiring a parent conference with the principal. -
20th absence from a full-year course -
10th absence from a half-year course FINAL NOTICE -
Letter sent home stating audit status and the appeal process. -
21st absence from a full-year course -
11th absence from a half-year course ATTENDANCE REVIEW COMMITTEE The Attendance Review Committee will include, but not be limited to: an administrator, teachers, school counselors, school nurse and school psychologist. This committee will review a student’s attendance record who reaches the final determination point. The committee will review all excuses, student status regarding make-up work, projects, tests, homework, etc. The committee will then determine the status of the student under review. Individual circumstances regarding a student’s attendance will be considered as part of the review. FINAL DETERMINATION LETTER A letter will be sent to the parent/guardian after the Attendance Review Committee has decided the status of the student under appeal.
