BOARD OF EDUCATION DISTRICT MISSION STATEMENT & GOALS

MISSION STATEMENT

Through a collaborative effort with students, parents and faculty; our mission is to provide for students an educational opportunity to develop skills, values and knowledge to succeed in a global community and become contributing members of our democratic society.

GOALS

Parent/Community Involvement

Survey parents on barriers that impact participation in school and community programs and utilize findings to identify and implement practices to increase participation in school and community programs.

Communication

The District will develop a comprehensive plan and course of action to capitalize on and expedite communication between teachers and parents, community relations/publicity, technology integration/web page, and budgetary processes.

Student Assessment

Resources will be allocated in the areas of curriculum and instruction, data analysis, staff development, academic support programs and parent involvement in order to have all students meet minimum state requirements for graduation and have all students achieve mastery on these indicators.
